There are games that we have played in class on:

Maths
There are more great activities on https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/early-years/  (summer term week 8 and the ‘Princess Mirror-Belle’ section).  As before there are 5 days worth of activities here based around a book, but you don’t have to have the books to do them.  They are all very practical activities that you can do, there is no need to print anything off, just download the ‘get the activity’ for each day.

PE
Joe Wicks is still doing daily PE sessions at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAxW1XT0iEJo0TYlRfn6rYQ he is live at 9am but you can watch any time after as well.  RCT have produced some guidance and activities too, which is available here http://d6vsczyu1rky0.cloudfront.net/33281_b/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Wellbeing-Pack-Four-Diet-and-Exercise.pdf

Topic
Our topic for the last half-term is called ‘Splendid Skies’ and is all about the weather.  It was great to see some photos of children dressed in seasonal clothes last week!
This week, can the children watch a TV weather report.  Then can they become the weather presenter and y create their own weather report!  They could draw some pictures of the sun or clouds and use these as props.
Can they remember any Welsh words for the weather?
There is a song here to remind them of the vocabulary https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nC3y9gOiMYc
And another one here to help grown-ups! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUu9kB0xafc

Reading
Keep reading as much as you can!  If you need any logins (oxford reading buddy / hwb / study ladder) please let me know.

Study ladder
I have added more activities onto study ladder: www.studyladder.com

I have been working on creating a new website for our school, and this is now live at www.llanharanprimary.com if you would like to have a look.  It is still a work in progress!

School re-opening
We hope to get a letter to you later this week to explain what will be happening with the re-opening of school from 29th June.

Hope you are all well and continue to stay safe.

Mr Griffiths
